Peace Memorial Park was established as a place to pray for lasting world peace.
The park is dotted with many memorials and monuments, including the World Heritage Site of the Atomic Bomb Dome, the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, the National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims, the Hiroshima International Conference Center, and the Cenotaph for the Atomic Bomb Victims.
